My wife had a huge fibroid measuring 16.6*11.6*16.6 (cm)

We knew the existence of fibroid since 2018 because of an USG done at the time of UTI, and still our doctor said that we should try for pregnancy and don't go for Myomectomy as we don't have any child and myomectomy has a risk of uterus removal.

Pregnancy started in month of march 2019 and we came to know in April when we went for blood test as my wife was having extreme pain due to increased size of fibroid. During pregnancy the fibroid increased from 10cm to 16cm and our doctor advised for abortion as doctor was not confident that the baby can survive with that Fibroid inside the uterus and it is causing a lot of pain. Inevitable abortion was done on 9th of may 2019. After that we have been told by the doctor to undergo for UAE(Uterine artery Embolization) before the surgery to remove fibroid.

Since after the abortion my wife condition keeps on deteriorating. I called doctor for the same and she told me that i should first check with UAE with some other doctor, instead of proving with some medicine.

I ran to so many hospitals and doctors in Delhi NCR and most of them told the same thing that this a huge fibroid and they have to remove it by doing surgery. But since my wife had fever, pain and other symptoms since long time after miscarriage so they will not do the surgery and will first do the treatment for fever. Some of the doctors advised for UAE before the surgery.

Most of the doctors advised for blood test, urine test, MRI, etc etc and scared us that the surgery can risk the uterus and we prefer to go for open cut and not the laparoscopic one.

I was stuck in a really bad situation as i don't have anyone to guide me to the right place and my wife's condition is getting worse day by day as the fibroid had grown in size and degenerated and she had fever, pain, bleeding, etc, since more than a month after Miscarriage.

Our elders always says not to worry when you are in really tough situation as god will send someone to help you and you know what that actually happened. God sent Dr. Dash.

Me and my wife used to search over internet for the doctors and hospitals and 1 day we found an article that Dr. Dash had removed a fibroid of 9.5Kg Laproscopically. The very next day we went to his clinic and consulted him.

Dr. Dash didn't asked us for any test or anything nor he scared us with the consequences of the surgery, rather he was confident and asked us to wait for 6 weeks as recently she had a Miscarriage and after that he will remove that fibroid laproscopically. Also he told us that UAE is not required to shrink the fibroid as it is very big and Laproscopic Myomectomy will be good.

I truly believe that even if a surgery is serious, you should not scare the patient rather you have to make him/her happy and thats what Dr. Dash did. He makes you feel like family.

During this 5-6 Weeks period time Dr. Dash was available over whatsapp and calls and always helped us in all the hard times. Everyday i used to send Dr. Dash the temp charting of my wife and we discuss on that. Almost every day we had a discussion regarding the condition of my wife. Even our family doctor had never provided that much support to us.

On 6th Week he did the Laproscopic Myomectomey in Fortis GK 2 and successfully removed that beast(Fibroid) which was 1.7 KG(1700 Gms). ince the surgery was done Laproscopically there was no cut and Uterus is also saved :)

I am truly grateful for all of the support and care that he has provided.

I just want to say a BIG thank you to Dr. B.B.Dash, for all of his attention and support over the past couple of years.

My newly wedded wife had a cyst in her left ovary and was in pain, and I ran to every big hospitals in Delhi and every single one of them advised me to get the cyst surgically removed and if we don't get this surgery done as soon as possible, my wife will face difficulties in conceiving a baby. I was stuck in a situation where I was not sure of what needs to be done.

And I cannot possibly explain the state of joyous mind I am having now, where not only an unnecessary surgery was avoided but we were also blessed with a healthy baby through a completely normal deliver. Dr. Dash has brought all this difference in my life.

Dr. Dash is very personable and he makes you feel like family. I’ll never be able to thank Dr. Dash enough for all the support, education, encouragement and love he has shown us. He has given us quite a gift. He has guided us through one of the proudest moments of our life and without his presence and nurturing it wouldn’t have been possible! We are proud of our birth experience and ourselves. I am truly grateful for all of the support and care that he has provided, and I would highly recommend Dr. Dash.

Please find the feedback as below. Once again thanks a lot for all your help with my mother's surgery.

We went to Dr Dash after having been to a couple of doctors and getting very different prognosis. The first thing that struck us was that he listed the available options with all pros and cons. The decision to go in for surgery was left to us. Once the decision was made, Dr Dash completely took over. All arrangements were taken care of and the surgery went as scheduled. My mother at 65 years was going in for a hysterectomy and despite her age had absolutely no complaints. She does not recollect ever being in pain and there was no discomfort afterwards. Dr Dash is a complete professional -he was always available on watsapp/ phone and even visited late in the evening on Saturday as well as on Sunday while she was in hospital. I would definitely recommend him for any laparoscopic/ gynecological procedure.

A journey to parenthood is not simple these days and we were no lucky. We went through a normal stage of exploration which involved interacting with few doctors during the journey. These exposed us to the non-sensitive, commercial side only and guess work nature of doctors which impacts a couple emotionally, physically and financially. However, when we met Dr. Dash, the un-pleasantries came to an end. We met Dr Dash, when I unfortunately had an undiagnosed fever running for over a month. The diagnosis was not done correctly despite meeting our existing battery of well-educated and experienced doctors. Dr Dash helped identify the cause which was a cyst which had to be operated through a laparoscopic surgery. Post-surgery, he was super calm and optimistic of natural conception which others said was difficult or impossible. I appreciate him for his honest opinions which helped us take the right calls, finally leading to the birth of my baby daughter. During the pregnancy journey, his above traits held us together. I won't say our journey was smooth but a doctor can play the role of making or breaking the journey. Dr. B.B. Dash is far and away the best doctor I have ever met and nothing I can say really does justice to the man: he is extremely intelligent, a compassionate and caring person, and a truly outstanding doctor.
